ReplyDeleteThis is your Godmother. You are going to get to know me very well in your life. Me and your mommy are best friends. I don't have any sisters so she is like one to me. Your daddy is one of the smartest men I know. You should always listen to him. Your Godfather's name is Chico and yes that is his real name. He is a great man and he will teach you to be strong and responsible. Your grandmothers will be one of your second mommys and will indulge you every chance they get. They love you very very much. You have so many people in your life that love you so much.
I'm writing you this letter to tell you how much I love you. I saw you born and I can't tell you how much happiness you brought at the time of my life when there wasn't much. I've never been a godmommy to anyone and don't really know what I'm supposed to do. Before you were born, me and your goddad threw your mommy and daddy a nice party in your honor. I'm sure you were dancing around your mommas belly that day. I guess the party was the easy part to this whole godparent job because from this point on I will be one of the people in your life who is going to take part in molding you into the man you will be one day.
Having been on this earth for 25 years more than you, you learn a few things here and there. One of them being, never give up. If you have dreams, follow them and never settle for less. Stay in school and learn as much as you can because knowledge is power. Respect people. Especially woman. Always give your seat to a woman and always be a gentleman. Never put your hand on a woman because a woman gave you life. Always listen to your parents because everything they tell you is for your own good. Always be a leader not a follower. Don't trust everyone because trust is earned and not everyone is trustworthy. Laugh everyday, but cry if you need to. Be honest because it is the best policy. Love yourself and believe in yourself and everything will be okay.
I am honored to be your godmother and will always be a part of your life. I will love you and take care of you.I love you so much my little godboo.
